The road in Vahdat jamoat of Devashtich district in Sughd province was laid with funds from migrant workers and local residents at the end of last year.  However, after three months, one section of the road became unsuitable for use.

A working group was organized to check the condition of the road.  Experts confirmed that the road surface was partially destroyed, and the cause was inappropriate weather conditions during its construction.

According to Olimjon Mulloyorov, head of the Sughd Road Management and Regulation Department, the main reason for the damage was the laying of asphalt during low temperatures in the autumn and winter of 2024.

After the news about the destruction of the road was published on the Asia-Plus website, an investigation was launched.

The working group included employees from transportation services and representatives from the Khujand-Roh Company, which was responsible for the road construction.

The company top manager, Khayrullo Qudratzoda, promised that the repairs would be carried out at their own expense.  "May 2025 will be the month of road repairs.  We will repair it at our own expense," he noted.

It is worth mentioning that in 2024, 45 kilometers of roads were repaired in the Devashtich district, with 5 kilometers funded from the district budget and the remaining 40 kilometers funded by local residents and migrant workers.
