at the end of the last week.  Irina Van, performer of his romances, has accompanied him on this trip.  

It is private visit of Timur Zulfikarov to his homeland after long years of separation.  The writer said in his interview with Asia-Plus that he planned to stay several weeks in


Tajikistan


.  During his stay in Tajikistan Timur Zulfikarov intends to visit the Varzob Gorge and hold a series of meetings with admirers of his literary creative work.   .

Works by Timur Zulfikarov have been translated in twelve languages of the world.  He is winner of numerous prestigious international awards.  In 1993, Timur Zulfikarov received British Literary Award “Collets” for his roman “The Earthly and Heavenly Travels of the Poet”, which was recognized the best roman of Europe.  In 2004, Zulfikarov’s roman “Golden Talks of Khoja Nasreddin” won the Nikolai Tolstoy Award “Yasnaya Polyana” in the nomination of “Prominent Work of Russian Literature.”  In 2005, his latest roman “Coral Snake” was recognized the best book of year in
