In the first half of 2025, Tajikistan exported aluminum and chemical products worth US$131.7 million, marking a $35.3 million increase compared to the same period last year.

The main export items included primary aluminum, aluminum profiles, and industrial explosives.  These products were sent to Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as to Russia, Turkey, and Europe.

During a news conference, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies (MoINT) announced that over 11,500 tons of processed aluminum were produced in the first six months of this year, a 3,600-ton increase compared to the same period in 2024, reflecting a 45% growth in processing.

Key contributors to this growth included several large companies, such as Titan-8888, which produced 1,536 tons, Tojprof with 730 tons, Alumin Prof with 588 tons, and the Tajik Aluminum Company (TALCO), which produced 589 tons of processed aluminum.  These companies played a vital role in increasing aluminum processing in the country, significantly boosting Tajikistan’s international standing, as noted by the Ministry of Industry.

Looking at long-term trends, aluminum processing in Tajikistan has seen a substantial increase since 2016.  In 2024, the total processing volume reached 18,900 tons, demonstrating notable growth in the sector.  For comparison, in 2016, the figure was 7,800 tons, and by 2023, it had already risen to 15,500 tons.

Overall, in the first half of 2025, Tajikistan’s machinery, defense, and chemical industries produced goods worth 2.5 billion somoni, marking a 28.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
