Over 4,800 job openings presented at new employment opportunities fair in Dushanbe

On December 18, a job fair held at the IT Park in Dushanbe saw over 300 individuals secure employment opportunities. Organized by 75 enterprises and organizations, the event offered a total of 4,810 job vacancies.

The job fair was part of the International Migrant Day celebrations and was initiated by the Ministry of Labor, Migration, and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan (MoLMEP).

According to the Minister of Labor, Migration, and Employment, Ms. Soleha Kholmahmadzoda, the primary goal of the fair was to create employment opportunities, support migrant workers and returnees, and introduce new job prospects within the country.

The Minister emphasized the importance of reducing labor migration by creating quality jobs domestically. She also highlighted that the Ministry of Labor would continue organizing job fairs, as these events help develop the labor market, generate new employment, and protect the rights of migrant workers. These initiatives contribute to reducing migration and encourage citizens to seek stable employment within Tajikistan.

 

Diverse job vacancies across multiple sectors

The fair featured participants from 75 enterprises and institutions, including both public and private organizations. Job seekers were presented with 4,810 vacancies in various sectors, including industry, construction, agriculture, healthcare, education, services, and small businesses.

Around 2,000 people attended the event. As a result of the fair, 362 participants were registered by enterprises and institutions as candidates for vacant positions. Additionally, 317 individuals found jobs with the assistance of labor and employment agencies, confirming the practical effectiveness of the fair and the interest of employers in recruiting local workforce.

 

Direct interaction and professional development

Job seekers were given the opportunity to interact directly with employers, gaining detailed information about working conditions, salary levels, working hours, social benefits, and career growth prospects. At the same time, specialists provided free legal consultations on safe migration, legal employment practices, and services available through government programs.

The event also featured presentations on professional training courses, retraining programs, and projects aimed at supporting employment. Attendees were offered specific pathways to enhance their qualifications and adapt to the demands of the modern labor market.

 

Competitions and skill building

As part of the fair, several competitions were held to boost participant engagement, develop professional skills, and increase motivation.

"The job fair played a vital role in promoting employment, developing professional skills, training for in-demand professions, and reducing unemployment levels in the country," an official source within a MoLMEP noted.
