On December 19, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, held a meeting in Tokyo with a group of Tajik students studying in Japan, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
During the meeting, President Rahmon reportedly inquired about the students' learning conditions and expressed confidence that they would apply the knowledge and skills gained in Japan to the development and progress of their beloved Tajikistan.
The President encouraged the students to deeply and comprehensively study their fields, acquiring the best skills at Japanese universities. He also reminded them of the ongoing development of the education sector in Tajikistan, emphasizing that, thanks to the constant efforts of the country's government, the fields of science, education, culture, and spirituality have undergone significant growth and transformation since the country’s independence.
It was noted that effective practical measures have been taken to substantially increase the number of educational institutions at all levels, aiming to educate and prepare the new generation that will build the country’s future.
President Rahmon emphasized that to fully utilize all opportunities, the country needs highly qualified specialists in various fields. He urged the youth to pay serious attention to studying the exact sciences, engineering, construction, road construction, energy, new technologies, and other important sectors.
