Tajikistan’s Antimonopoly Service identifies market “giants”

In 2025, the Antimonopoly Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan developed and approved the Register of Economic Entities Holding Dominant Positions in Specific Markets.

Haydarali Rajabzoda, Head of the Antimonopoly Service, announced that the updated version of the Register was approved by Order No. 24 of the Antimonopoly Service on April 7, 2025.

The companies listed in the Register play a crucial role in strategically important sectors of the economy such as metallurgy, energy, telecommunications, and the market for socially significant goods.

Some of the largest companies on the list include TALCO Resource, Gazprom Neft – Tajikistan, Obi Zulol, Babilon Mobile, Coca-Cola Beverages Tajikistan, TT Mobile, and Bozori Korvon (Korvon Market).

The Register is an important tool in the fight against monopolization and helps ensure fair competition in Tajikistan's markets, emphasized the head of the Antimonopoly Service.

Examples of companies by industry listed in the Register:

·         Mining industryFon-Yagnob Mine, TALCO Resource, Tajikistan Metallurgical Plant, Koni Namak (Vose), Takob Ore Mining and Processing Plant, and others.

·         Food industrySaodat Dairy Factory, Porsoy Khujand, Sakho i K, Nurabis, Syr-Daryo, and others.

·         Chemical industry and construction materialsTALCO Chemical, Huaxin Gayur Cement, Juntai Mohir Cement, and others.

·         Telecommunications and mobile servicesIndigo-Tajikistan, TT Mobile, Babilon Mobile, Takom.

·         EnergyGazprom Neft – Tajikistan, Seganch.

·         Other CompaniesTajikmatlubot, Korvon Market, Nord Asia Metal, Elegant, Tajero, and others.

The Register is aimed at monitoring dominant market players to ensure that no single company can unfairly monopolize key sectors, thus promoting competition and fair economic practices across Tajikistan.
