DUSHANBE, February 15, Asia-Plus – The lower house of Tajik parliament has endorsed a number of bills making amendments  to some country’s laws, including those concerning a system of payments of labor of members of the Majlisi Milli (upper chamber of Tajikistan’s parliament), deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (lower chamber of Tajikistan’s parliament), judges of the Constitutional Court and other courts of the republic, civil servants and customs officers.

A regular sitting of the second session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon presided over by its chairman Saydullo Khairulloyev was held on February 15.

Thus, changes and addenda made to the RT Constitutional Law “On Legal Status of Member of the Majlisi Milli and Deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon” provide for fixing a single rate for parliamentarians and disaffirming differentiation of payments for length of service, scientific degree and title for parliamentarians only.

In the meantime, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee for Energy, Construction and Industry also leader of Tajik Communist Party, Shodi Shabdolov telling the session expressed his disagreement with this because the differentiation of payments disaffirmed for parliamentarians remains in effect for other mentioned categories of employees.

The session also approved new laws “On State Obtainment of Goods, Works and Services”, “On Audit Services”, as well as a number of other amendments made to the present laws.
