Preparations for the Elders” Council of Turkmenistan are being finalized in Lebap province. The forum will bring together Turkmen elders, farm specialists and representatives of scientific-research establishments as well as related ministries and organizations.

According to the official report, “elders will consider specific recommendations on further reforming the agricultural sector of Turkmenistan. These recommendations were made following comprehensive assessment of the state of affairs in agriculture and detailed analysis of the soil-climate conditions and other specifics of the real capacity of each province of Turkmenistan.”

The Elders” Council will be held in a newly built Ruhiyet Palace in Turkmenabat. A number of social-economic facilities will be inaugurated before the forum. These are the airport building, Ene Myahri medical centers, schools, kindergartens, and residential houses.

The participants and guests of the Elders” Council, including representatives of the diplomatic corps in Turkmenistan, will also observe a large-scale military tactical exercise to be held in the Chemenabat training ground in Serhetabat district of Mary province, near the state border.
