DUSHANBE, January 27, 2010, Asia-Plus — The Ministry of Education (MoE) of Tajikistan and Iranian university, Sarira Higher Education Institute, have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document was signed by Tajik Minister of Education Abdijabbor Rahmonov and Chancellor of Sarira Higher Education Institute Majid Seydi (phonetically spelled) in Dushanbe on January 26, the source at a MoE said, noting the memorandum is dedicated to promote bilateral scientific and educational cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
“The document provides for cooperation on exchange of students, organization of short-term courses on new technologies, offer of modern methods of education with use of electronic technologies, and organization of visits to Iranian educational centers for Tajik teachers and experts,” the source said.
The memorandum also provides for organization of joint educational activities, seminars and conferences as well as participation in international and regional Olympiads.
We will recall that in 2009, Tajik MoE signed nine cooperation agreements with a number of education ministries of foreign countries and international organizations.
