DUSHANBE, February 10, 2009, Asia-Plus – The situation on the country’s domestic currency market remains unchanged and the exchange rate of the dollar (USD) against the somoni (TJS) has reduced by one point, press service of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) reported today.

“On February 9, transactions at inter-bank currency market were conducted at the level of average volumes of purchase/sale of foreign currency and the most active transactions were most active in the USD/TJS pair,” said the press service, “Although, the purchase/sale volumes in the Euro/TJS and Russian Ruble/TJS pairs have smaller share in the total purchase/sale volumes, they have shown a certain upward tendency.
