From May 14 to August 31, there will be a seasonal restriction on the Dushanbe – Chanak highway for oversized vehicles. This was reported by Branch of Innovative Road Solutions (IRS) LTD in Tajikistan.
The restrictions are introduced within the framework of the government decree of the Republic of Tajikistan on seasonal regulation of traffic on public roads.
The Branch of IRS LTD in Tajikistan notes that such practice is applied not only in Tajikistan but also in many countries around the world and shows positive results.
Earlier, the Transport Supervision Service also announced that similar restrictions are in effect from May 1 to August 31 for heavy and oversized cargo vehicles when the air temperature is high. During this period, such transport can primarily move at night.
Penalties for violating the established rules range from 50 to 70 calculation indicators (from 3,900 to 5,460 somoni).
It is noted that according to the government’s decree dated November 8, 2011 “On Establishing Seasonal Weight and Axle Load Restrictions for Vehicles on Public Roads,” annually from May 1 to August 31, movement on asphalt roads from 10:00 to 20:00 is permitted with a load on a single axle not exceeding 6 tons.
