DUSHANBE, April 19, 2011, Asia-Plus — Head of the Agency for Construction and Architecture Abduvali Komilov told reporters yesterday that a modern sports complex will be constructed in the center of Dushanbe, behind the Amphitheater.

According to him, the sports complex design has already been worked.

Komilov also noted that the national sports complex was being built in the Tajik capital on the Karamov Street.  “The complex will place a general gym with 4,000 seats, tennis court and swimming pool,” he said.  Besides, dozens of sports complexes will be put into operation across the country this year, Komilov added.

He noted that 4 billion somoni (equivalent to some US$900 million) worth of 1,347 new facilities would be put in commission throughout the country this year on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence.  “In Dushanbe alone, 166 such facilities will be put in commission by September this year,” Komilov said.
