DUSHANBE July 14, 2011, Asia-Plus  — Tajik Ambassador to Ukraine Shuhrat Sultonov yesterday met in Kiev with a group of Ukrainian entrepreneurs, the Tajik MFA information department reports.

During the meeting, Tajik diplomat noted that both countries had good capacities for expansion of economic cooperation.  According to him, Ukrainian entrepreneurs could participate in implementation of investment projects in Tajikistan.

The sides agreed that the Tajik-Ukrainian Council of Entrepreneurs will be established at the Tajik Embassy in Kiev to coordinate activities of businesspeople of the two countries, the source said.

The sides also discussed ways to expand humanitarian, educational and cultural cooperation between Tajikistan and Ukraine.

Members from the Ukraine-Tajikistan Partnership Committee also attended the meeting and the sides reached an agreement to set up a group to protect rights of Tajik labor migrants working in Ukraine, the source added.
