KHUJAND, November 4, 2011, Asia-Plus — Police officers have seized 336 kilograms of narcotics in Sughd province over the first ten months of this year, according to the Sughd police directorate.

A totaled reportedly included more than 22 kilograms of heroin, 4 kilograms of raw opium, more than 279 kilograms of hashish and more than 28 kilograms of other types of narcotics.

Meanwhile, the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office for Sughd reports that all the Sughd law enforcement agencies have seized 531 kilograms of narcotics, with a fourth of them being heroin, over the same ten-month period, which is 292 kilograms fewer than in the same period of last year.
