DUSHANBE, December 4, 2008, Asia-Plus — China’s China Road will maintain the Dushanbe-Anzob section of the highway from Dushanbe to Khujand during winter months.
According to press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), an agreement on this subject was signed between the Dushanbe state transportation company, Dushanbenaqliyot, and the Chinese company in Dushanbe recently.
To maintain this section of the highway specialists from China Road will use their own equipment and machines.
We will recall that China Road is implementing the project for rehabilitation of the road Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak in Tajikistan. The project also includes construction of the Shahriston tunnel in the Sughd province.
