DUSHANBE, November 27, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Tajik state air company, TajikAir, has put a new terminal for domestic air routes into maintenance at the Dushanbe airport, according to TajikAir’s press service.

The terminal meets all requirements of international standards and has a capacity to register more than 100 passengers per hour.  The terminal is fully found to offer a quality service to passenger and make boarding waiting comfortable for them.

The terminal for domestic air routes has been built in another place in connection with construction of a new international terminal at the Dushanbe airport, the press service said.

We will recall that on July 25, representatives of France’s companies Sofema Group and Alpha Airport presented a model of a new international terminal that will be built at the Dushanbe airport.  The terminal with an acceptance rate of 500 passengers per hour and meeting all international standards is expected to be located on an area of 11,000 square meters, which is four times more than the territory of the present Dushanbe airport.   It will have 16 check-in counters connected to the automated system of registration of passengers and their luggage.  The use of the new automated passenger registration system significantly cuts the time to board the aircraft.  The terminal will have two covered passenger ramps with four telescopic boarding bridges.
