According to the agreement signed yesterday between TALCO and Chinese national construction materials manufacturing company, another huge cement producing factory will soon appear in south of Tajikistan.
As reported by the President’s press service, joint cement manufacturing factory will appear in Shartuz region of Khatlon province. The factory will be able to produce three million tons of cement per year. The construction of the factory will cost $600mln.
Additionally, Tajik State Saving Bank Amonatbank and Chinese Development Bank signed two agreements in Beijing – On financial support to Tajik agrarian sector and On training of bank employees.
Tajik Ministry of Agriculture and China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine signed Memorandum of understanding on plant quarantine. Another MoU was signed with China National Administration of Coal Geology.
At the same time, in the course of his official visit to China Tajik President Emomali Rahmon met with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People”s Congress to discuss strengthening of legal basis of bilateral relations, mutually beneficial cooperation and interparliamentary relations between Tajikistan and China, President’s press service reported.
In the course of the meeting President Rahmon said that “Today we can say that relations between Tajikistan and China can be cited as an example of cooperation and successful collaboration of the great state with neighboring country.”
President Rahmon also said that “Tajik-Chinese relations are currently at the stage of rapid development.”
“Emomali Rahmon met today with chairman of the Governor of the China Development Bank Chen Yuan to discuss mutually beneficial cooperation. The sides highly evaluated the bank’s role in expansion of cooperation with Tajikistan, especially in within the frameworks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,” the source reports.
Mr. Chen Yuan said the China Development Bank’s cooperation with Tajikistan iss the most fruitful cooperation in Central Asia region.
Pointing at the volume of Tajik-Chinese trade turnover, which exceeded $2bln in 2011, the sides expressed confidence that the volume of trade turnover between the two countries will be twice as high as this figure in the next few years.
Emomali Rahmon also met today with top officials of a series of leading Chinese companies.
President Rahmon met with the chairman of the Board of China Global Juan Janjun to discuss cooperation in Zarnisor section of Kairakkum city of Tajikistan, including the activity of metallurgical factory and its further modernization.
Tajik President also met with Vice President of Huawei company Lin Juiji Janjun to discuss cooperation in telecommunication sector.
The sides hsared their views on establishment of a network of automated control over transport and traffic service in Dushanbe.
