KHUJAND, November 17, 2008, Asia-Plus — Chairman of the Central Committee of Tajikistan’s Industry Employees Trade Unions Abdullo Kholiqov last week met with Go Pin Dzun (phonetically spelled), director general of limited liability company, Tajik-Chinese Mining Company, in the northern settlement of Altyntopkan to discuss cooperation issues, Asia-plus has learned from Said Usmonov, the head of the Sughd Regional Committee of the Industry Employees Trade Unions. 

According to him, Kholiqov and Go signed a protocol of intention on establishment of the primary trade unions organization at the company.  

“An organizing committee has been set up at the enterprise to make preparations for holding the constituent conference that is expected to work out a draft agreement between the employees of the enterprise and the administration for 2009-20011,” said Usmonov, “The director general has given his consent to establishment of the trade unions by the end of this year.”

Usmonov said that the trade unions organizations will be engaged in social protection of the enterprise employees.  Some 600 people now work with the company.
