Tajikistan’s inflation for Jan-Oct stands at 6.1 percent

DUSHANBE, November 12, 2012, Asia-Plus  — The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) reports that inflation for January-October this year has stood at 6.1 percent.

Over the report period, an average monthly inflation rate has reportedly stood at 0.61 percent.  An average monthly inflation rate for January-October last year reportedly stood at 0.9 percent and inflation for January-October last year was estimated at 9.0 percent.

Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 6.5 percent in a year to November 1, 2012, a source at Tajik central bank said.

The Tajik authorities expect year-end inflation to stand at 10.5 percent in 2012.
