, January 16, Asia-Plus – The Border Protection Committee (BPC) under the Government of Tajikistan has been given a new status.
By president’s edict the BPC has been transformed into the State Committee for Protection of National Border of Tajikistan (SCPNBT) and Colonel-General Saydamir Zuhurov has been appointed Chairman of the SCPNBT.
By appropriate resolutions of the government Major–General Safarali Sayfulloyev was appointed First Deputy Chairman and head of Chief Staff of the SCPNBT, Sharaf Fayzulloyev was appointed Deputy Chairman and Head of Reconnaissance Department, Major-General Sabza Sarkorov was appointed Deputy Chairman for Educational Work, Muzaffar Abdulloyev was appointed Deputy Chairman for Armament and Materiel, and Safarali Nazirov was appointed Deputy Chairman and Head of Rear.
By other government’s resolution Major-General Nuralisho Nazarov was relieved of his post of First Deputy BPC Chairman, Mirzokhuja Nizomov was relieved of his post of Deputy BPC Chairman, Major-General Jabbor Homidov was relieved of his post of Deputy BOC Chairman and Head of Reconnaissance Department, Saymahmad Temurov was relieved of his post of Deputy BPC Chairman for Rear, Armament and Materiel, and Major-General Sabza Sarkorov was relieved of his post of Deputy BPC Chairman for Educational Work.
