Mr. Valiyev has told Asia-Plus that in the course of the talks they discussed issues related to case of the DPT leader Mahmadruzi Iskandarov and the situation in

ahead of the presidential elections set for November this year.  

According to the DPT deputy leader, during the meeting he proposed examination by the OSCE of the RT Law “On Election” with the object of its complying to standards of this organization.  

“Speaking about Mahmadruzi Iskandarov’s case, Mr. Kubis noted that it is under observation of the European Union,” Rahmatullo Valiyev said. 

Yesterday, EU envoy also met with leadership of the Islamic Revival Party of Tajikistan (IRPT).
