Dushanbe


on April 27.  

Mikhail Romanyuk, manager of the designing center at the Dushanbe Office of Aga Khan Humanities Project for Central Asia (AKHPCA), has told Asia-Plus that an idea to launch Tajik painters’ website occurred after exposition of works of Tajik artists in the building of the Turkish Embassy in Dushanbe in November last year.   

According to him, at present the website contains information about seven Tajik artists – Azim Muhamamdiyev, Bakhtiyor Odinayev, Dilorom Shermatova, Farrukh Nemat-Zadeh, Manzura Yuldosheva, Murivat Beknazarov and Zuhur Habibuloyev. 

125 artworks are posted on 14 pages of this site.  Visitors of the website may familiarize themselves not only with works of Tajik painters but also with their bio data. 

The objective this project is in acquainting international community with works of talented Tajik young artists.  The project has been implemented under support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in cooperation with AKHPCA and embassies of
