Tajik seismologists make up map of seismic zones of Tajikistan

of Tajik National Academy of Sciences have made a map of seismic zones of

The map contains catalogue of tremors that had occurred on the territory of the Central Asian region over five centuries (1490-1991).  Besides, it has characteristics of seismogenerating zones and tells of latest tectonics of


Tajikistan


.  

Tajikistan


is a region of high seismic activity.  Last year alone, seismologic stations in


Tajikistan


registered 22 tangible earthquakes.
