MOCOW, June 15, Asia-Plus — Four persons in a blaze in the settlement of Zhukovka in the district of Odintsovo near Moscow were residents of the Tajik southern district of Panj (Khatlon province).

Muhammad Egamzod, press secretary of the Tajik Embassy in Moscow, has told Asia-Plus that they were identified as Isomiddin Saidov, Abdusattor Nazarov, Davlatnazar Gulov and Sadriddin Davlatmandov.

As it had been reported earlier, the fire broke out in seven wooden huts in the construction site in the settlement of Zhukovka Tuesday night.  When clearing the wreckages firefighters discovered four dead bodies, which were identified as Tajik labor migrants.    Police has instituted investigation into what caused the fire.  Representatives from the Tajik Embassy in Moscow and representative office of the Tajik Ministry of Labor and Social Security in Russia have visited the scene.

“The other group has visited the Istra district, where the blaze broke out in a one-story building on the same night,” said Egamzod, “Representatives from local emergency management agency told us that three persons were killed in that fire: two adults (ethnic Russians) and a four-month baby S. Mirzoyeva.”  “At present local authorities are trying to define citizenship of those killed in fire,” Egamzod said.

We will recall that earlier some Russian media reported that a four-month baby died and four labor migrants from Tajikistan were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning after a fire broke out in the Moscow region Tuesday night.
