, June 26, Asia-Plus — A book entitled “Peace building in
Tajikistan
” by Deputy Culture Minister Ibrohim Usmonov has been brought out.
On June 23, Mr. Vladimir Sotirov, the head of the United Nationals Tajikistan Office of Peace Building (UNTOP), telling a book-presenting ceremony in Dushanbe noted that it was a good source for studying the most difficult stage in formation of Tajikistan as independent state.
Ibrohim Usmonov was direct participant of a process of reestablishment of peace in the republic. His book covers events in Tajikistan from 1990, including inter-Tajik peace negotiations, to post-conflict peace building in the country. In his book, Professor Usmonov makes an attempt to state the main tendency on political life of Tajikistan on the basis of facts.
The book by Professor Usmonov has been brought out under support of the United Nations Tajikistan Office of Peace building and has a circulation of a five hundred.
