DUSHANBE, August 21, Asia-Plus  – A mass fighting between workers from Tajikistan and their fellow-countrymen occurred in Moscow Friday late, the Russian website Vesti.ru reported. 

As the result of the fighting that took place on the construction site in the center of Moscow, one person was killed and fiver were hospitalized with various wounds.   

Vesti.ru referring to the Moscow law enforcement agency reports the fighting occurred on the site for Moscow-City.  “A group of their fellow-countrymen attacked builders from Tajikistan with chains and metallic switches,” the source said, noting that the cause of the fighting was a competition for working places.   

The Moscow police say 25 builders were detained.  Investigation is under way.  A prosecutor’s office in the Presnensky district of Moscow has instituted criminal proceedings to investigate into the incident.
