DUSHANBE, November 21, Asia-Plus – The Dushanbe mayor’s office intends to announce an open contest among the planning organizations of the city on the best design for the Palace of Youth that will be built in Dushanbe next year. 

A meeting of the Dushanbe administration presided over by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held yesterday.  Ubaidulloyev ordered the city’s construction department to arrange such contest. 

 Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that the meeting had also discussed issues related to response to applications and complaints by the Dushanbe residents.  “The mayor also ordered that officials to the responsible positions should be selected competitively,” the mayoral spokesman said.
