Revenue part of Dushanbe budget for 2006 over-fulfilled by 3 percent

DUSHANBE, November 27, Asia-Plus — Dushanbe has fulfilled the revenue part of its budget for this year, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said. 

According to him, the city’s budget has received 115.1 million somonis, as of October 30, from all source of financing.   

“According to Sayvali Safarov, the head of the finance department of the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office, the revised target of the city budget on revenues has been determined at 115.1 million somonis,” said Shavkat Saidov, “However, the budget has received 115.4 million somonis by November 23, which is 3 percent more than the annual target.”  Besides, the city has also successfully fulfilled the additional budget determined by the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis) at 30.7 million somonis, according to the spokesman.  

According to Saidov, the over-fulfillment of the budget’s revenue part demonstrates that activity of economic entities and entrepreneurs in the city is becoming more and more efficient from year to year and “their financial state is being strengthened.”
