DUSHANBE, December 10, Asia-Plus — President Emomali Rahmonov will leave for Beijing for a six-day visit on January 15, according president’s executive office.   

A source at a president’s office said that Rahmonov will pay visit to China by invitation of his Chinese counterpart, President Hu Jintao.  During his staying in Beijing, President Rahmonov is scheduled to negotiate with high-ranking Chinese state officials issues related to prospects of further expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.  

Rahmonov’s visit to China is expected to result in signing of a number of bilateral cooperation documents, including a treaty on friendship and cooperation between Tajikistan and China.
