DUSHANBE, March 2, Asia-Plus — Turkey’s Business Center Vefa has been already put into operation, while an official opening of the center is set for March 22.

According to the Dushanbe representative office of Turkey’s Ozgun Insaat, which has build the center,  they are currently carrying out work on housing tenants.

A source at the Dushanbe representative office of Ozgun Insaat noted that the center will house mainly offices of foreign companies and international organizations active in Tajikistan.

“The center will house, for example, UN representative office in Tajikistan, head office of the cellular operator Indigo-Tajikistan and representative office of Turkey’s air carrier Turkish Airlines,” the source said.

According to him, the rent for one square meter of space for shops will US $25.00 and for offices, US $15.00.

“Besides, administration of Turkey’s holding Kaynak, which owns this complex, has made a decision that the center will not house private apartments as it had been supposed before,” said the source, “All floors of the complex, except three upper floors, will be rented for offices and shopping centers; three upper floors are intended for VIP-apartments.”

We will recall that at first the official opening of the center was set for last October.  According to the source, delay in opening the center has been caused by changes made to lay-out of some floors of the center.
