DUSHANBE, May 2, Asia-Plus — By president’s decree of May 2 the first deputy speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), Abdulmajid Dostiyev was appointed Tajik Ambassador to the Russian Federation, replacing Safar Safarov in this post, presidential press service said.

We will recall that Safar Safarov has been relieved of his post of Ambassador to Russia this year.  He was appointed the Deputy Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
