DUSHANBE, June 22, Asia-Plus – A mild tremor, measuring 3.0 on a 12-point scale, jolted Tajik capital today morning, at around 9:51 a.m., the Dushanbe seismological station said. 

The earthquake could be felt in southern Tajikistan as well.

According to the source, the tremor’s epicenter was on the Tajik-Afghan border in Khatlon’s Qumsangir district, some 162 kilometers southwest of Dushanbe.  In Qumsangir, the tremor’s magnitude was 4.5 on the 12-point scale.  No damage or injured was reported, according to the source.
