DUSHANBE, July 3, Asia-Plus — The next, 12th session of the upper house (Majlisi Milli) of the Tajik parliament will be held in Dushanbe on July 19.

The Majlisi Milli speaker Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev signed a resolution on convocation of the 12th session of Tajikistan’s upper chamber of parliament at the end of last week. 

Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the Majlisi Milli speaker, told Asia-Plus that the session is scheduled to consider the new Constitutional law on Gorno Badakhshan, as well as amendments to the laws on veterans, architecture and construction, and state regulation of providing fertility of farmland.  

The session will also consider other documents related to socioeconomic and cultural development of the country, Saidov said.    

We will recall that the previous, eleventh session of the Majlisi Milli was held on June 17.
