DUSHANBE, July 9, Asia-Plus — On Friday July 6, Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov met visiting Qatar’s business delegation led by Finance Minister Yusuf Hussein Kamal.  

According to presidential press service, in the course of the talks Tajik prime minister noted that Tajikistan is interested in cooperation with Qatar in the field of hydropower.  Oqilov briefed Qatar’s entrepreneurs on further plans to turn Tajikistan into large producer of electrical power.  

The sides also considered issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar in sectors like agriculture, light industry, tourism, non-ferrous metallurgy, aerial communication, and processing of fruits and vegetables.
