DUSHANBE, July 10, Asia-plus — This year a Republican Tennis Championships will be held in the northern city of Chkalovsk from July 23-27.  

Ibod Sharifi, vice-president of Tajikistan Tennis Federation, told Asia-Plus that some 40 athletes, both men and women, from Dushanbe, Khujand and Chkalovsk, would compete in the tournament.    

“Winners will be awarded medals, diplomas and presents of the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports, and Tourism,” Sharifi said.
