DUSHANBE, July 13, Asia-Plus — A stonefall that occurred in the Osiyoi Torij area, the Anzob jamoat of the northern district of Ayni, the 144th kilometer of the highway from Dushanbe to Khujand, yesterday evening blocked a 200-meter section of the highway, Asia-Plus has learned at the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES).  

The source at CES said that a mudslide on July 12 caused the stonefall that blocked the Dushanbe-Khujand highway in the area of Osiyoi Torij.  No injured was reported, according to the source.  

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), the highway is still closed for traffic and work to repair the highway is under way.
