DUSHANBE, September 14, Asia-Plus — Three Tajik companies – Utogan KA, Fayzi Murod and Progress One Co – will take part at the Third International Uzbek Cotton Fair that will be held in Tashkent on September 17-19, Asia-plus has learned from the Uzbek Embassy in Dushanbe. 

Yuri Nagay, Aide to the Uzbek Ambassador, said representatives from these companies had already got Uzbek visas.

According to him, Tajik closed joint-stock company (CJSC) Ismoili Somoni has also expressed wish to participate at the fair but its representatives have not yet applied for visas.  “In all, nine Tajik companies have expressed wish to participate at the Third International Uzbek Cotton Fair,” Uzbek diplomat said, adding that probably many of these companies have their representatives in Uzbekistan and they have applied directly to organizers of the fair.  

According to Uzbek national news agency UzA, almost 500 representatives of 263 companies from 33 states have confirmed their participation in the upcoming third International Uzbek Cotton Fair. The fair is expected to gather specialists from Australia, USA, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, China, South Korea, India, Russia, Ukraine and other countries.
