DUSHANBE, September 17, Asia-Plus — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of parliament considered a bill on court of arbitration at a September 17 meeting presided over by its speaker Saydullo Khairulloyev. 

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board also considered amendments to the laws on the 2007 national budget, social protection of disabled people, as well as the criminal, land and administrative code.  The broad also considered a bill on architecture and town-panning activity.  

The board also discussed government-to-government agreements between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan on mutual protection of investments, friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as Tajik-Czech convention on avoiding dual taxation.  

The board also considered and endorsed a draft resolution on electing deputy Amirbek Mahmadaliyev as member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee for State Construction and Local Government.
