DUSHANBE, October 1, Asia-Plus — The capital mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has urged to toughen sanitary-epidemiological control in the city. 

Issues related to activity of the ecological and sanitary-epidemiological control bodies were discussed at a meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office on October 1.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that Ubaidulloyev ordered at the meeting that in future, city prosecutors jointly with police directorate and other relevant agencies should control implementation of the ecology and sanitary-epidemiological legislation in Dushanbe every week.  

The meeting also discussed construction and architectural standards and the issue of pulling down unauthorized buildings in the country.  The Dushanbe chief prosecutor Qurbonali Muhabbatov reported on this subject.
