DUSHANBE, October 29, Asia-Plus — Capital mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev has passed a resolution to improve organization of traffic on routes near the Sultoni Kabir and Korvon markets in the city.

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said the resolution obligates municipal services to take measures to provide safety of traffic in the city, improve sanitary-epidemiological situation and ensure protection of rights of consumers on the mentioned markets.

By mayor’s resolution the Dushanbe department of public services and utilities jointly with investor, limited liability company Korvon, will reconstruct a section of the highway from Dushanbe to Qurghon Teppa — from the Nemat Qaraboyev Street to the Gulbutta area, the spokesman said.

Authorities of Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district, the Dushanbe main architecture and town-planning directorate, the Dushanbe police directorate and other relevant organizations are to pull down all unauthorized buildings before December 1.

The resolution also provides for determining places for parking lots and constructing undergrounds near the Sultoni Kabir and Korvon markets.
