, which is an official newspaper of the Tajik parliament, died in Dushanbe yesterday, aged 54 after a long illness.   

Abdulvohidov was born in Khatlon’s Kulob district on March 15, 1953.  He graduated from the Faculty of Tajik Language and Literature at Tajik National University in 1976.  In 1976-1984, he worked with the Kulob newspaper

.  From 1984 to 1986, Abdulvohidov worked in Afghanistan as interpreter.  From 1986 to 1990, he worked with different government institutions and regional newspapers in Khatlon.   

From 1991 to 1998, Bobojon Abdulvohidov worked with

as special correspondent and head of the newspaper’s Khatlon office.  Since 1998, he had served as the editor-in-chief of the newspaper.
