            KHUJAND, February 13, Asia-Plus  — Two alleged supporters of the outlawed extremist religious organization Hizb ut-Tahrir were detained in two separate operations in the Sughd province at the beginning of this week, Asia-Plus ha learned at the Sughd police directorate.  

The source at the Sughd police directorate said that one of detainees is a 30-yer-old resident of Khujand Bakhtiyor Sattorov.  “Sattorov joined the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization last year, while another detainee, the 40-year-old resident of the Bobojonghafurov district Ismoil Temirov has been activist of this party since 2004,” the source said. 

According to him, Sattorov and Temirov face charges of calls for the violent overthrow of the government.   

We will recall that according to official data, six activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir and seven members of the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan were detained in Tajikistan last year.
