DUSHANBE, February 28, Asia-Plus  — By president’s decree of January 27 Zokir Vazirov, formerly Chancellor of Institute of Entrepreneurship and Services, was appointed Ambassador of Tajikistan to Azerbaijan, presidential press service said.  

We will recall that in 1998, in accordance with a 30-percent quota given to the United Tajik Opposition (UTO), Vazirov was appointed Deputy Prime Minister.  

In February 2005, he was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Protection.  On November 30, 2006, Vazirov was relieved of his post of Minister of Labor and Social Protection and was appointed Chancellor of Institute of Entrepreneurship and Services.
