DUSHANBE, March 27, Asia-Plus  – 28 train cars loaded with Iranian fuel oil arrived in Tajikistan recently and other 40 train cars with Iranian fuel are expected to arrive in the country within the next few days, Asia-Plus has learned at the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe.

The source at the Iranian embassy said that the fuel oil has been provided to Tajikistan as humanitarian aid in response to Tajik government’s request in connection with extreme winter weather that caused serious damage to Tajikistan’s economy.

The source added that delay in delivery of the fuel oil to Tajikistan had resulted from problems with transit of it via Turkmen and Uzbek territories.
