DUSHANBE, March 31, Asia-Plus  — UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres arrived in Tajikistan today for a three-day visit, Asia-plus has learned at the UNDP Dushanbe Office.   

Today, Guterres is scheduled to hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, Interior Minister Mahmadnazar Solehov and Labor Minister Shukurjon Zuhurov.  Besides, the UNHCR chief is also expected to meet Khairiddin Abdurahimov, the head of the State Committee for National Security (UNHCR).

The talks are supposed to focus on issues related to problems and status of refugees in Tajikistan, the source said.   

During his stay in Tajikistan, Guterres is also scheduled to meet with Afghan refugees living in Tajikistan and senior representatives of a number of non-governmental organizations.
