DUSHANBE, April 14, Asia-Plus – School students in GBAO’s Murgab district do not use cannot use computers because of electricity shortages, Elmira Tatiyeva, the chairperson of the Murgab education department, said in an interview with Pamir Media. 

According to her, schools in Murgab have totaling 90 computers (one computer per 32 students) but schoolchildren practically do not use them because of lack of electrical power.  “Sometimes, local schoolchildren collect money to buy gasoline for the mini-generator in order to use computers,” said Tatiyeva.    

Two primary, one main and 11 secondary schools with totaling 2,800 pupils and some 400 teachers currently function in Murgab.
