To select school leavers a special commission, comprising representatives of the ministry of education (MoE) and all Tajik universities, has been set up.

The deputy Khatlon governor, Ms. Tojinisso Mahmadova, heading this commission told Asia-Plus on Saturday that they have to select one from among three candidates for each allotted seat.  The candidates have been nominated by district and city education departments.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Mr. Mirzosharif Shodiyev, a chief specialist within the MoE directorate for higher educational education, said the ministry had allotted the Khatlon province a quota of 383 students this year.

“61 seats have been allotted by Tajik State Teachers’ Training University, 54 seats by Kulob State University, 42 seats by Tajik National University, and 40 seats by Tajik State Medical University,” the chief specialist said.

Besides, the Kulob branch of Tajik Technological University has allotted 11 seats for school leavers from Khatlon this year.
