DUSHANBE, June 9, Asia-Plus  — A series of training seminars on international live birth criteria will be conducted in the Khatlon province and districts subordinate to the center (RRPs) from June 10-28, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).

The source at a MoH said that the main objective of the training seminars is to promote introduction of international criteria of live birth and stillbirth in the country.    

The seminars are being conducted in accordance with health minister’s order on gradual transition to international live birth criteria recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO).   

Specialists from Fayzobod, Nourobod, Tavildara, Tojikobod, Jirgatol, Danghara, Baljuvon, and Qumsangir districts are participating in the mentioned seminars.

The targeted groups include gynecologists, obstetricians, nurses, specialists in neonatology, and medical statisticians, the source said.
