DUSHANBE, June 25, 2006, Asia-Plus  — On Wednesday June 25, Uzbek Ambassador to Tajikistan, Shokasym Shoislomov, met with senior representatives of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs.  

According to the Uzbek Embassy in Dushanbe, youth policy of the two countries was a focus of the meeting.  

Speaking at the meeting, Shoislomov noted by Uzbek president’s decree the year of 2008 is declared Youth Year and the Uzbek government had adopted a multipurpose youth program, which is aimed at tackling many problems of education and employment of youth in Uzbekistan and providing them with housing, the source at the Uzbek embassy said.  

For his part, Maliksho Nematov, the head of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs, expressed gratitude to Uzbek diplomat for interesting and detailed story of life of Uzbek youth and pointed to the necessity of further expansion of relations between the Tajik and Uzbek peoples.
