DUSHANBE, July 16, Asia-Plus  — Rustamkhon Choriyev, founder of the Dushanbe limited liability company, Gazovik-1, is charged with embezzlement of some 70,000 somonis of state funds,  according to head office of the Agency for State financial Control and Combating Corruption in Dushanbe.  

The source at the anticorruption agency said that under the contract with the construction company constructing a nine-story residential building in Dushanbe, Gazovik-1 was to install natural-gas equipment.  Gazovik-1 has fulfilled its obligations on the contract; however, it has overstated expenditures and embezzled 69,171 somonis.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Choriyev under the provisions of two articles of the Tajik Penal Code: Article 245 (embezzlement or misappropriation) and Article 323 (service forgery).
